Automotive foam mounting tape
Black automount automotive foam tape with solvent acrylic adhesive system. Used for mounting automotive body parts, trims, nameplates, registration plates and badges. It has very good shear and peel adhesion and the high density foam means it does not split under stress. It is suitable for moderately uneven surfaces as well as being resistant to moisture and UV light.
Using a foam tape means the two surfaces don’t have to sit precisely flat against one and another. Use pressure on application to make sure the adhesive bonds to the entire surface area. The foam will adept to any difference in the gap.
The modified solvent acrylic on this automotive foam tape does not have a very high initial tack. However it will bond permanently with excellent temperature and chemical resistance. The bond strength increases over time, it will not deteriorate. Moreover, the closed cell PE foam acts as a moisture barrier and has a high resistance too tearing.
The tape is available in die-cut pieces, slit rolls and bobbins.
