Description
Industrial grade tissue splicing tape, solvent acrylic. This 100 micron tissue tape is typically suitable to adhere to flexible and fibrous materials like paper, board, foam and rubber. The adhesive has good plastisizer resistance as well as UV and weather resistance. It has the quick-stick ability and high shear force needed for flying splice applications as well as withstanding high temperatures for short period. The tape comes with a thick premium PE paper release liner that does not easily tear on removal at speed.
Tissue splicing tape
Corrugated board splicing is a demanding application for a tissue splicing tape. The machines run at speed and the tape has little time to achieve its optimum bonds strength. To allow the tape to be applied fast the release liner must come away without tearing. Then there is the drying ovens, reaching temperatures above 200⁰C, albeit for a short period of time. Failures though, are very costly and time consuming. No wonder that the quality and consistency of the splicing tape are of key importance.
